I know when I am having a rough time in my personal life, it can be hard to appreciate the rest of the world around me. This is why whenever I feel sad, I try to take the time to admire some of the many things that are beautiful about this world. This always fills me with such peace and lets me know that things are going to be okay.
One of the things I like to look at when I'm down are photos of the Blue Sea Slug. Though its name makes it sound unappealing,it is so beautiful that is almost seems unreal. Knowing that things like that exist make me feel like there is still magic in the universe.
I also love to look at photos of glaciers. I think that they are exquisitely beautiful, and looking at them fills me with a sense of calm. I like to close my eyes and imagine myself sitting along on a glacier when I'm feeling very stressed. It lets me catch my breath and helps me to relax and take things one step at a time.
The world really is a wonderful place, and I try to never let myself forget it. We are surrounded by things of beauty, and the more time I spend appreciating them, the better I feel. I feel lucky to live on the same planet as so many wonderful things.
