Standing up for my rights

I worked in Dubai for 2 long years and in that span of time my boss never heard any negative thoughts from me. Never did I complain about how mean they are to their employees.

I had a 3 years contract with them but because the business acquired a different sponsorship and relocated, they need to cancel my visa and offered to get a new visa and advised me to work additional 3 years.

As much as I wanted to accept the offer and work for them for three long years I decided not to because I was looking for a greener pasture and they can't seem to provide me that.

What they wanted is work and work and work without even acknowledging or somehow give incentives to what you had accomplished.

When I said NO to the offer they decided not to give my gratuity and they became hard on me.

What I did is politely and calmly approach my boss and talk about the matter. I told them that "I could have had another more year working if it wasn't because of the new sponsorship and all that relocation thing and I was not breaching the contract hence you are breaching the contract - but despite that I did not ask for anything else but my gratuity so I hope you would give what belongs to me".

And realizing that I was loyal and somehow lawfully right, they granted my request and got to my country safe and sound.
