Shelley' Seven Pillars of Wisdom 2009

If I could leave you with just Seven Pillars of Wisdom what would they be?

This year has certainly been a journey of discovery and I stand here today far stronger, surer and clearer about who I am, what I want from life and where to next ... so in this month's newsletter I wanted to share with you my seven pillars of wisdom ..

  1. It is never as bad as it seems. The nicest thing I did to myself all year was constantly and consciously look for the good in every situation I found myself in
  2. Don't cross the bridge until you get there. Worrying about what 'could' happen is the dumbest thing I did this year.
  3. If it feels wrong it generally is. I discovered that if I had a little more faith in my inner guidance I wouldn't get myself in such a pickle
  4. As I get older my body is changing. So instead of whining about discovering that somehow I'm in the last year of my 40s and my body isn't as strong, supple, shapely as it once was - Love myself by eating less, moving more and living fully
  5. Feed my mind with things that inspire me When I do this it keeps me moving forward with a spring in my step, hope in my chest and belief in a great universe we have
  6. You get back what you put out The happier I am, the more optimistic I am, the nicer types of people I bump into
  7. Taking it into eternity. I discovered that if I gave attention emotions and asked myself the question 'If I died right now and had to take this feeling into eternity would I want that?' It made me pick turn my attention pretty darn quickly to how I do want to feel
