This pearl of wisdom can surprisingly be used in any situation or problem that concerns me. This is especially useful for me when I find myself being frustrated or angry at another person, or at a predicament I find myself in.
I need to take a breath and just allow myself to feel whatever emotion it is that I'm experiencing at the time. Then I analyze it, to see if I can begin to have a different feeling about the situation.
So, if I'm angry at someone, I just look at it in a way that takes away my anger. This allows me to accept any of the blame that may fall on my own shoulders.
This pearl of wisdom is helpful in every situation, and I refer to it often as I go through my day.
