My evolution as a human being is a lifelong journey. It is a journey to which I give purpose and meaning by striving each day to learn something new about myself, the people around me and the world at large. I am committed to lifelong learning – seeking out opportunities to expand my level of awareness, building upon my existing knowledge base and growing more competent as the years go by.
I love reading, engaging in intellectually stimulating dialogue, attending professional seminars and taking helpful classes. I never use my age, marital or parental status, finances or time constraints as excuses for avoiding various learning opportunities. I feel my level of self-confidence increase each time I muster the courage to venture out of my comfort zone and try something new - regardless of the outcome.
I possess a passion for learning that far outweighs any fear I have of people thinking that I am unintelligent, inept, too young, too old or simply out of my league. For every person that deems me to be reaching for the impossible, there are ten who admire me for giving it my all and believing in myself.
I will not harp on “the way we’ve always done it,” because change is a necessary part of life that I can and should embrace. I will adapt to the times, never compromising the essence of who I am and what makes me unique, but always leaving room for personal and professional growth.
I am an inspiration to my family, my friends and my associates, because I remind them all by example that it’s never too late to learn and grow!
