If I do accept compensation, it is because, and only because, I would have written about them anyway (But, hey ... don't tell my sponsors that!) That content, advertising space or post may not always be identified as paid or sponsored content.
If someone sends me something to review and I don't like it, instead of writing a really bad review, I usually just send the product back and don't post anything at all.
